Google has rolled out a critical software update for Pixel devices, addressing several high-risk vulnerabilities in Android Auto, system security, and Wi‑Fi connectivity.

The update, labeled BP2A.250705.008, began rolling out on July 8, and is available for the following devices:

  • Pixel 6a, 6, 6 Pro

  • Pixel 7, 7a, 7 Pro

  • Pixel 8, 8 Pro

  • Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro Fold

  • Pixel Tablet


 What’s Fixed:

  • Security flaws in Android Auto that could expose driver data

  • Wi-Fi vulnerability allowing unauthorized access on public networks

  • System-level exploits affecting background processes and battery usage

Google strongly urges users to install the update immediately to prevent exploitation of these known issues.


How to Update:

Go to: Settings → System → Software Update → Download & Install

Ensure your device has at least 50% battery and is connected to Wi-Fi before updating.
