Google Messages is currently one of the most popular messaging apps in the Android world. Its usage has been growing rapidly, especially due to modern features like RCS Messaging and End-to-End Encryption. With Google Messages also becoming the primary messaging platform on Samsung Galaxy smartphones, this new customization update offers an enhanced experience for users. Additionally, if you have switched from Samsung Messages to Google Messages, will this new feature be useful to you? Read on to discover what changes you can make with the new Chat Theme feature.
New Custom Chat Theme Feature Arrives on Google Messages
Until now, personalization options in Google Messages were very limited. Particularly for many who used Samsung Messages, the lack of options to customize conversations was a drawback. Now, Google has changed this situation. Through the new update, you can set a separate Theme and Background for each RCS chat. You can use a family photo for a family group chat, a different wallpaper for a chat with friends, and set a simple background for work-related conversations. As a result, you get the ability to give a unique look to every conversation.
You can also use your Gallery photos as a Background
One of the key features of this new update is that users can directly use photos from their Gallery as a chat background. For example:
- Family photos
- Nature scenes
- Pet photos
- Personal favorite pictures
and more can be chosen as the conversation wallpaper. On top of this, pre-installed Wallpapers provided by Google are also available.
Animals, Landscapes, and Space Wallpapers
Various types of curated wallpaper collections are offered in the new customization section of Google Messages. Mainly included in this are categories like:
- Animals
- Landscapes
- Space
- Other preset patterns
Because of this, those who do not wish to use a personal photo can select their favorite from the wallpapers provided by Google.
