Design & Build
Upon picking up the iQOO Z11, it doesn't really feel like a phone with a massive battery. Even with an 8.3mm thickness and 213g weight, iQOO has handled the weight management very well. It feels comfortable to hold and use in hand.
The phone's design delivers a premium feel. On the back panel, iQOO's signature-inspired camera design has been provided. The two camera modules are placed together to appear as one large camera eye, giving the phone a unique look.
Since the side frames and edges are curved, holding the phone is also comfortable. The case provided in the box fits the phone well too.
The iQOO Z11 is available in colour options like Cosmic Black and Glacier Blue. As for durability, having IP68/IP69 protection is an added advantage.
Display – The Biggest Highlight
One of the biggest highlights of this phone is its display.
The iQOO Z11 features a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display. It comes with a 1260 × 2800 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate, scrolling, animations, and supported games look extremely smooth. Touch response is also responsive.
Regarding display brightness, the screen is clearly readable even under outdoor and direct sunlight conditions. Specifications mention support for up to a peak brightness of 5000 nits.
Furthermore, with minimal bezels provided, the screen-to-body ratio looks good. It delivers an immersive viewing experience when watching movies, YouTube videos, and playing games.
Audio Experience
Dual stereo speakers are provided in the iQOO Z11. The speaker output is loud and offers a good experience while watching multimedia content.
The stereo speaker setup is a great addition for movies, gaming, and YouTube.
Performance & Gaming
In terms of performance, the iQOO Z11 is a highly capable smartphone.
It is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and Adreno 810 GPU. Good performance is achieved in daily usage, multitasking, and gaming.
In gaming, the phone delivers good performance depending on graphics and performance requirements. Thanks to the 144Hz display, supported games and the scrolling experience feel even smoother.
The use of UFS 3.1 storage also aids in quick app loading and overall responsiveness.
Battery – Massive Capacity
The battery is another major attraction of the iQOO Z11.
It packs a massive 9020mAh battery. Despite having such a large battery capacity, it is noteworthy that the phone maintains an 8.3mm thickness.
For heavy users, this battery capacity will be a massive advantage. It helps reduce battery anxiety during gaming, video streaming, and regular usage.
However, while providing 90W charging for such a large battery is good, in our opinion, it would have been even better if the charging speed was higher.
Additionally, features like bypass charging and reverse wired charging support are also provided.
Software Experience
The iQOO Z11 comes with Android 16 and OriginOS 6.0.
The software experience overall is smooth. Although some features and customisation options might be fewer compared to the China version, the software experience is quite good for day-to-day usage.
Bluetooth, notifications, and necessary connectivity features are well provided.
The minimal presence of distractions like lock screen advertisements is a positive point for user experience. Nevertheless, it would be better if the software experience was even cleaner.
While two years of OS updates were offered previously, providing 3 years of OS updates on this model is a good improvement.
In terms of warranty, a 1-year warranty is provided.
AI Features
Importance has also been given to AI features in the iQOO Z11.
The AI Captions feature in particular is extremely useful. Displaying the words you speak as live captions is helpful during videos and conversations.
AI-based summarisation features are also handy when used for meetings or conversations.
Among the AI features, one of our personal favourites is the real-time caption experience. Captions are especially helpful for understanding audio.
Additionally, because a noise cancellation microphone is provided on the phone, a good experience is obtained during voice-related usage as well.
Ports & Other Features
A speaker and a noise-cancellation microphone are positioned at the top of the phone.
A clean design without buttons is provided on the left side. Dual SIM support is available in the SIM tray.
Furthermore, the inclusion of an IR blaster is one of the useful additional features of this phone.
Features such as an under-display optical fingerprint sensor, NFC, and stereo speakers are also present.
Camera
The camera setup features a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
The main camera is capable of taking good photos in daylight conditions. In scenarios with proper outdoor lighting, image quality and details are satisfactory.
The ultrawide camera also delivers good results in outdoor conditions. It is useful when taking wide-angle shots.
However, regarding the selfie camera, despite having a 32MP sensor, in our opinion, the selfie performance could have been even better considering the other specifications of this phone.
For video recording, both the main and selfie cameras support up to 4K at 30fps.
Overall, the iQOO Z11 is a smartphone focused primarily on a big battery, an excellent display, and strong performance.
The 6.83-inch 144Hz curved AMOLED display is the biggest highlight of this phone. Coupled with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 performance, a 9020mAh battery, IP68/IP69 protection, stereo speakers, and AI features, these turn it into a feature-rich smartphone.
Despite the large battery, maintaining the phone at an 8.3mm thickness is a remarkable point. The design and in-hand feel are also good.
In our view, if the charging speed had been higher and if there were further improvements in the selfie camera, the package would have been even more complete.
Apart from that, the iQOO Z11 stands out as an interesting choice for those who prioritize the trio of display + battery + performance.
