Vivo launched its new Vivo X Fold 6 foldable smartphone first in the Chinese market. Now, with the global launch of this smartphone drawing near, new information regarding its price, RAM, storage, and key specifications has been revealed through a listing on a European online retailer.
According to this listing, the Vivo X Fold 6 may be available in the European market in two color options: Black and Blue. Similarly, only a single configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is currently listed.
Since this information is based on a retailer listing, there is a possibility that some specifications or the price may change until Vivo's official global launch announcement is released.
Vivo X Fold 6 – European Price
In the European retailer listing, the price of the Vivo X Fold 6 is shown as €2,135.90. However, this retailer has not been known to correctly publish the official RRP of smartphones in the past. Therefore, it is expected that the official retail price at launch time may be around €2,199.99 or close to it. Because of this, it is clear that the Vivo X Fold 6 will take a spot in the premium foldable smartphone segment in the European market.
8.02-inch Large Foldable AMOLED Display
The main highlight of the Vivo X Fold 6 is its large foldable display. The listing mentions that an 8.02-inch AMOLED main folding display is provided in it. The resolution of this display is 2504 × 2312 pixels. Along with this, previously released specifications mention that there is a 6.51-inch cover display on the outside of the smartphone. This will help to use it like a normal smartphone when the phone is closed, and to get a large tablet-style screen experience when opened. Both these displays make the foldable phone suitable for uses such as productivity, entertainment, and multitasking.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Processor
It is mentioned that the performance of the Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset. In the retailer listing, an octa-core CPU is shown to have a clock speed of up to 4.21GHz. Through this, this foldable may have been created in a way to handle high-performance applications, gaming, multitasking, and demanding tasks.
200MP Main Camera
Regarding the camera setup, the Vivo X Fold 6 has very powerful specifications. Its rear camera setup:
The listing mentions that it consists of three cameras:
- 200MP Main Camera
- 50MP Periscope Telephoto Camera
- 50MP Ultra-wide Camera
In this, while the 200MP main camera will be used for high-resolution photographs, the 50MP periscope telephoto camera will help in zoom photography to capture distant subjects. Furthermore, wide-angle photographs and landscape shots can be captured using the 50MP ultra-wide camera.
20MP Front Camera
The European listing states that a 20MP front camera is provided for selfie and video calling needs. Although a dual 20MP front-camera configuration is mentioned in some specifications, this should not be taken as confirmed information until Vivo officially confirms the final camera configuration of the global model.
6,900mAh Battery and 80W Charging
The Vivo X Fold 6 also gains attention in the battery department. According to the European retailer listing, a 6,900mAh battery may be provided in the global/EU model. Along with this, there will be 80W wired fast charging support. However, in the Vivo X Fold 6 model launched in China, a 7,000mAh battery was provided. This 6,900mAh figure might actually be the rated capacity of the battery. Smartphone manufacturers usually mention the typical capacity of the battery as slightly higher and the rated capacity as slightly lower. Therefore, there is a chance that the EU model's battery is actually close to the 7,000mAh battery present in the China version. Information has also emerged that there is wireless charging support. However, information regarding its charging speed is currently not clear.
12GB RAM and 512GB Storage
Currently, only the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration is seen in the European retailer listing. In China, the Vivo X Fold 6 was launched in several storage options. They are:
12GB RAM + 256GB storage 12GB RAM + 512GB storage 16GB RAM + 512GB storage 16GB RAM + 1TB storage
However, whether all configurations will be available in the European market or if only the 12GB + 512GB variant will be provided will become clear only after the official launch.
Design and Build
The listing mentions that the Vivo X Fold 6 has dimensions of 157.2 × 74.3 × 9.9mm in its closed state. Its weight is around 230 grams. Furthermore, information indicates that an IP58 rating is provided for the smartphone. Through this, a certain level of protection against dust resistance and water resistance will be available.
Android 17 and OriginOS 7
Fold In the software section as well, the global Vivo X Fold 6 may come with a major change. New listing information states that this smartphone may launch with the Android 17 operating system in the global market. On top of this, it is expected that Vivo's OriginOS 7 Fold user interface will be provided. This could be an important difference in software experience between the China version and the global version.
When will the Vivo X Fold 6 be released in India?
